This first version of the Electronic Wind-chime was created using open-source microcontroller technology, an anemometer, and sound transducers. The C/C++ code for this piece pairs individual numerical wind speeds with electronic musical MIDI notes to produce ethereal sounds. Version two will aim to develop the sculptural housing further while utilizing 3D print technologies.
Version one of the Rain-Chime is an interactive electronic instrument created using open-source microcontroller technologies. Transducers output intensifying sounds paired in response to the input of the FC-37 Rain sensor as it becomes increasingly or decreasingly saturated. Future developments include water-tight housing solutions using 3D printing technologies and pairing additional FC-37 Rain sensors to create more intricate sounds.
